I have this amazing thing going right now at the gym I work out at. I'm in a group called "The Biggest Winner" and it's like a competition of sorts, and much like "The Biggest Loser" show. There are about 10-12 women doing this. We are all at different levels of fitness. Some just want to lose 10-15 pounds and build muscle, while others have 100+ pounds to lose. We have a great trainer, Kathy, who meets with us 3 days a week and gives us workouts to do, etc. We also weigh in every Monday. I can do the workouts. I will kill myself at the gym...my problem is, I need to eat better. We have a food program to follow, I just am not very good at following it. Either I don't eat at all because the food isn't prepared or I get busy or something or I just eat whatever is quickly available. This nutrition problem of mine has greatly thwarted my success so far. So, I am starting this blog. I don't know if anyone will read it or follow it, but I will and it will make me accountable for everything I put in my mouth and how hard I push myself at the gym. My plan is to account for everything I eat and the exercise I do each day. I think this will help me. And just in case anyone does read this, please leave me a comment and let me know. It might be helpful to actually have someone reading about what I'm doing and keep me on the right track!

The Beginning...
Well, I decided to do a blog about my weight loss journey. See the thing is, I need to be accountable to someone....or something. I am going to turn 29 years old in April. My husband and I are coming up on our 5th wedding anniversary. I am 50 pounds heavier than when I got married and if I don't get a handle on this now, I fear what the next 5 years will bring. I also have a beautiful baby girl (she is the cause of some of my extra pounds) and I want more children. I want to be healthy. I want to make sure I'm around to see my kids grow up, and play with them on the floor. I need to stop saying "I'll start tomorrow" and start NOW!
